Description
Are you still looking for the key to happy customers and bigger profits in the food business? The secret lies in making the best possible use of high-quality ingredients. There’s also no need to throw out your leftover foodstuffs, they just need to be stored to a high standard. Read on to learn how.
Why vacuum store?
Vacuum packing is a simple and perfectly natural way to store a variety of foodstuffs (in bags or containers) in an air-free environment. Extracting air removes oxygen, which is necessary for mould and bacteria to develop, i.e. food deterioration. This makes food’s shelf-life as much as four times longer. Furthermore, vacuum preserves freshness and nutritional value. This means more time for you to use up the food and that the food’s quality will be preserved even after long-term storage; shopping for fresh vegetables and fruits will also no longer be a daily annoyance.
Gastro Vacuum Lid
Our professional-grade vacuum container lid is intended for vacuum sealing Status professional vacuum containers. It fits containers of five different volumes because they are of the same lengths and widths. The lid is made of Eastman Tritan, a high-grade plastic material that guarantees many years of use.
We’ve upgraded the lid with gaskets in seven different colours following the HACCP standards:
- red for storing raw meat,
- green for storing vegetables,
- white for dairy and bread,
- blue for raw fish and other seafood,
- yellow for safe storage of poultry,
- brown for cooked meat and
- neutral grey for other categories.
With the addition of HACCP labels, your storage will be perfectly organized.
Using our gastronomic container lid
Using Gastro lids is simple and fast. Apart from a container, you also need a Gastro vacuum pump with which you extract air and create vacuum in the container.
Fit the lid onto your chosen vacuum container (of any volume) and use the pump, which you’ve fitted into the groove on the lid. All you need to do to extract air is press a button and wait for the pump to do all the work. It will extract the air automatically and create the pre-set evacuated pressure.
Food industry vacuum containers are suitable for larger facilities such as hotels and dining halls, smaller businesses such as diners and smoothie bars, and everything in between
Choose vacuum containers of volumes that fit your size and complement them with lids. Sets of containers and lids are suitable for storing:
- washed and sliced vegetables for salads, sauces, decorations, and vegetable meals;
- washed and sliced fruit for freshly squeezed juices, decorations, and desserts;
- fresh marinated meat – a mere few hours in vacuum will be sufficient for the meat to soften and become infused with seasoning;
- leftover vegetables and fruits in vacuum will preserve freshness and vitamins perfectly for several days;
- leftover cooked meals such as various sauces, soups, and hearty meals like stew, goulash, stuffed peppers, etc.
Advantages of restaurant-grade vacuum containers and lids
The containers and lids from the Status Horeca programme are made of top-quality materials, which are BPA-free and food-safe, for several years of use. The containers are made of Xarec and the lids are made of Tritan.
Xarec and Tritan are a great choice for storing foodstuffs because they don’t adopt the foods’ odours and colours.
Vacuum containers and lids are also a great choice for storing liquids for transport (catering providers) because vacuum-packed containers are sealed hermetically making their content perfectly safe from spilling.
The thought-out design of the lids enables you to stack full containers one on top of the other to make optimum use of the space on your cooking counter, in the cold storage room, and warehouse. You can stack containers of different volumes, they all have the same lid.
Maintenance and cleaning
We recommend that you wash the lid before first use. Avoid sharp sponges and scrapers and aggressive cleaning agents so you won’t scratch the lid or damage the sealing components.
Materials
Status Gastro vacuum programme is distinguished by its top-grade materials, which are food-safe and resilient. The lid is made of Tritan, while the gaskets and valves are silicone. All materials are free of harmful BPA compounds.
The lid is available individually or as part of a six-piece set.
